HometownGrocers.com’s "My Recipes" feature allows consumers to enter, save and order their personal recipes online. Consumers organize their recipes by categories and sub-categories so that when they order their recipe(s), they will be easy to find.
Consumers enter the recipe ingredients and indicate the amount of each ingredient they use in the recipe. Once a recipe is created, it is kept until they choose to delete it. To order a recipe's ingredients the consumer simply orders their recipe and the system automatically orders all the ingredients. One Click, that's it. When a recipe is ordered HometownGrocers.com’s process compares the ingredient items in the recipe being ordered to the other recipe ingredient items in the consumer’s order. If other recipes are ordered with the same ingredient item, HometownGrocers.com’s process compares each recipe's ingredient item measurement and only orders enough of the ingredient item to prepare all the recipes. The consumer is notified of how much money they save by this process. Consumers may indicate that an item in a recipe is a pantry item. Pantry items are not automatically ordered. When a recipe is ordered the consumer will be given the opportunity to review the pantry items in the recipe for possible ordering.

When one or more recipes are ordered the consumer will receive only the amounts of each ingredient necessary to prepare all the recipes in their order and will automatically receive any savings.
